Racing Victoria (RV) advises that this year’s round of RV Director appointments has been completed.
Current RV Director, Prue Hayes, has been re-appointed, while Michael Andrew AO and Alice Williams will join the Board with their three-year appointments commencing at the conclusion of the 2016 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 24 October.
Mr Andrew was the former Chairman and CEO of KPMG International. He is presently the Chairman of the Australian Government’s Board of Taxation and was the former Chairman of the Australian B20 Working Group on Anti-Corruption & Transparency and its Global CEO Forum.
With a keen interest in racing and sport, Mr Andrew was previously a Committee Member of the Melbourne Racing Club and is currently Vice President of the Melbourne Cricket Club and a Director of the National Sports Museum.
Ms Williams has over 25 years of senior management and Board level experience gained in funds management, investment banking, corporate and government sectors.
She is presently a Director of the Australian Government’s Foreign Investment Review Board, the Victorian Funds Management Corporation and several leading publicly listed investment companies.
They will be replacing Michael Caveny and Andrew Twaits who are stepping down from the Board and will be formally acknowledged for their contribution at the AGM.
