The racing experience will be enhanced for owners in Victoria from this weekend with the official launch of phase two of owners digital ticketing.

Advocated for by the Thoroughbred Racehorse Owners Association (TROA) on behalf of owners, the initiative is being delivered by Racing Victoria (RV) in partnership with TROA and with the strong support of Victoria's racing clubs.

The advanced interactive ticketing will be introduced for all owners with horses engaged at every Victorian race meeting from Saturday, 1 August 2026 onwards.

When downloaded, the tickets will provide owners and their guests with access to all their raceday privileges including admission to the racecourse, members area and mounting yard, plus the owners lounge and complimentary food and beverage entitlements where available.

The tickets are available via RV’s Owners Digital Ticketing Platform – owner.racingvictoria.com.au – which was launched in September 2025 having thus far provided owners with access to a digital copy of their Owner Gold Card.

The addition of owners digital tickets to the Platform will see owners with a runner receive direct notifications via email and SMS soon after acceptances to inform them that their tickets are available.

Owners can log into the Platform using their email address (registered to their Racing Australia account) and a one-time passcode which is sent to their email at that time.

Tickets can be downloaded directly into native digital wallets (Apple and Google), or shared with guests via common methods including SMS, email, and WhatsApp.

RV has recently completed a successful trial of owners’ digital tickets at select race meetings throughout July.

The initiative will now be officially introduced for owners with a runner at the Flemington and Bet365 Hamilton meetings this Saturday, before continuing at every Victorian thoroughbred race meeting during the 2026-27 season.

Owners that are unable to access their tickets online will receive complimentary admission at one of the racecourse entry points for themselves and their guest(s), before collecting physical owners ticket(s) from the relevant Raceday Ticketing Office or Owners Concierge as per the owner status in racebook.

“The Owners Digital Ticketing Platform is an important initiative aimed at streamlining and standardising the ticket redemption process for Victorian racehorse owners,” said Vaughn Lynch, RV Chief Operating Officer.

“Owners digital tickets aim to improve the raceday experience for owners, simplifying the process for accessing and sharing tickets and removing wait times for physical tickets on course.

“We thank the clubs, TROA and our other stakeholders for their support during the recent trial and look forward to working with them going forward.”

“TROA welcomes the launch of owners race day digital tickets, which represents a real step forward for the race day experience of Victorian owners,” said Jonathan Munz, TROA Chairman.

"This is an exciting initiative that will allow owners to access and share tickets straight from a mobile phone – making members enclosure and mounting yard ticket access faster, easier and more convenient for owners right across Victoria - no queues, no waiting for physical tickets.

"TROA has been lobbying for many years to have this implemented and further improvements and enhancements are scheduled to be introduced over time. We thank Racing Victoria and the Victorian race clubs for their work and look forward to owners across the state enjoying the benefits next season."
